Next Years Championship…
Is a new one! Organised by a new club (Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club), next years championship already has a more dynamic feel to it. It is looking likely that we will be visiting at least two new circuits in the form of Silverstone and Knockhill and there will be some sensible reunification of racing classes within the championship to make it both easier for those competing and those spectating to identify with. The series will now attract proper advertising and its media profile will be raised in order to attract a larger entry, more competitive racing and more spectators to the circuits. Watch this space for more details and for the provisional dates and venues to be confirmed.
Next Years Bike…
Will be a development of the Yamaha R1 the team campaigned this year. Having established many of the long distance weak spots, more resource is being poured into making next years bike more competitive on track, more reliable over distance and more likely to bring Team GBmoto the pole positions, fastest laps and race wins that it deserves. Spares and race kit will be renewed and replenished and once again we will rely on all of the team members to put many hours in, over the cold winter off-season months.
Next Years Riders…
At the moment we are in talks with a number of seriously competitive riders, in a bid to try and achieve a settled, full time line-up for 2007. We have retained the services of Mark Smith-Halvorsen (2000/2001 World Endurance Championship rider and 2004 UK Endurance Champion) and feel confident of putting a competitive rider team out for the first round at Silverstone. More news as they sign on the dotted line.
Next Years Sponsors & Partners…
As ever the cost of racing competitively continues to increase. We are currently talking to our current sponsors and partners and looking for their support again in 2007. We are hoping to announce our involvement with some new companies for next years campaign, knowing that we will continue to offer them value for money, a unique experience and a mutually beneficial relationship.
If you are reading this, we look forward to hearing from you soon and seeing you at the circuits next year. Bye for now.
